You live your life doing the everyday things: going to work/school, worrying about bills/payments, think about who you're gonna hang with this weekend, etc...But what really passes you by is life. You overlook all the beautiful little things in life that you take for granted. Ever wake up in the morning and thru your open window smell the fresh flowers growing in your neighbors yard? Ever take the time to think about the cool scent of rain? Ever know how the sun feels on your skin on a nice warm day? We spend our times worrying about all the nuances and tribulations of everyday life and we forget to really LIVE. To live is to experience all that's around you that God gave you.
In the grand scheme of things on a universal scale, our humans take up so little time and space. And what do we do with that time and space? We spend years building beautiful monuments and statues yet we build missiles that destroy them in the blink of an eye. Human history is riddled with grand achievements and at the same time grand destruction. What's the reason for this? I suppose it can be human nature. We're bred to build and destroy even at a young age. Is there any hope for a better world? Of course, because the one thing we do have is choice. The choice to be either angry at someone for having different views or accepting and respecting their beliefs and living side by side with them. What point is there to kill and maim things. Absolutely nothing. And let's face it, if you're reading this far, you're a fortunate individual. Why? Because, you're reading this in front of your computer, which means you're probably reading this either at your work or at home. Meaning you're fairly well off in life. So you probably don't need to worry about your next meal like an orphan in North Korea, or whether or not you'll be alive tomorrow like many people in war torn countries.
Put things into perspective next time you have problems. Are things really all that bad? Probably not. And enjoy what God made for you not only from the trees, to the stars, to the oceans, but to also each other. Make life good for those around you. Be there for you family, freinds, and even strangers. I'm not saying you can change the world, but you can make a world of difference.........
"He dwells in a broken-down shack, in tattered clothes, with no social status, no honor and no respect; he wanders in the wilderness, with no friend or lover, without wealth, beauty, relatives or relations. Even so, he is the king of the whole world, if his mind is imbued with the Lord's Name. With the dust of his feet, men are redeemed, because God is very pleased with him."
